Dr. Akshay Nadkarni, aged 22 yrs topped the final MBBS examination in Feb 2006 with flying colors securing 70% marks with Gold medals in Gynecology & overall first rank from Sardar Patel University Karamsad Medical College. Earlier in 2000 Akshay secured 94% marks in CBSE class XII from Vallabh Ashram School with highest marks in the subject of Biology in CBSE board with a Gold Medal & Rs. 15,000/- cash Prize from Govt of India Dept of Biotechnology New Delhi. An active sportsman, Akshay represented his school in State level Badminton tournaments & in debates & essay competitions securing several prizes.
With a humble, compassionate & affable personality, Akshay is the darling of his teachers & friends. He plans to do post graduation in Surgery or Gynecology in future. He is the son of Dr. Purnima (gynecologist) & Dr. Kishore (Surgeon) from Killa- Pardi known for “Nadkarni Hospital & Test Tube baby Centre” in Gujarat (India). His elder sister Dr. Pooja also stood 1st in India in the CBSE board in 1997, was a gold medallist throughout her medical career & completes her MD (OB GYN) this year.

Dr. Pooja Nadkarni, daughter of Dr. Purnima & Kishore Nadkarni who are well known for their most successful “Nadkarni hospital & test tube baby center,” Killa Pardi, Gujarat a rural infertility center, has successfully finished her fellowship in gynecological endoscopy from University of Keil, Germany & come back to India. She stood first in the fellowship exam in all the students & has been offered a scholarship of one year from University of Kiel. This is a great achievement for Pooja. Pooja is a born brilliant & all round student from Vallabh Ashram school, Killa Pardi, always stood first in all exams, was a state player in badminton, swimming & basket ball. Pooja stood first in 12th CBSC board exams achieving 98% marks in science subject standing first in country for which she got President’s medal from Delhi. She joined MBBS & got 4 gold medals till she passed MD Gynec with flying colors. Today Pooja has got special training in Assisted reproductive technology, operative endoscopy & ultrasound from her parents as well as Dr. Lisolette Mettler & Schollmyer from Germany.
Pooja is married to Dr. Prabhakar Singh, who is a gold medallist in Chest medicine who also has got fellowship from Germany in chest medicine. Both Pooja & Prabhakar will be joining Nadkarni’s new venture hospital a state of art, multispeciality hospital in Surat opposite railway station called “ Nadkarni’s 21st century hospitals PVT LTD, & test tube baby center, Surat Branch , Dawer plaza, station road, behind Mohan mithai , Surat station. |
