Dr. Kishore Nadkarni, age 48 Years, is the Chief Surgeon of Nadkarni Hospital since 1984, Surgeon and Director - Nadkarni's Assisted Conception Unit and Research Centre, Pardi, and Medical Director and Chief Surgeon of Nadkarni's 21st Century Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., Vapi.

  • F. C. P. S. (Gen. Surgery) in April, 1980 from College of Physicians & Surgeons (C. P. S.) Bombay.

  • M. N. A. M. S. (Gen. Surgery) in April, 1980 from National Board of Examination (N. B. E.) India.

SPECIAL ADVANCED TRAINING ABROAD: 1994-1999

  • In September 1994, visited centers in Europe specially Bielefeld & Keil in Germany for training in Laparoscopic Surgery and Assisted Reproduction.

  • In May/June 1995 - received training from Kings College of Conception, London and from Tuffs University, Boston ins Assisted Reproduction and I. C. S. I. - 3 months.

  • In 1997 -  visited University of Honolulu, USA for training in Gastro-enterological endoscopy.

  • In 1998 - visited Perth, U. W. A. (University of Western Australia) for training in I. C. S. I. - 2 months.

Dr. Kishore - A Human Side

Dr. Kishore is also an ardent social worker. He has been associated with various Social organisations. He has provided his extensive medical services to various villages on special programmes. He has also been associated with Lion's Club. He has actively participated in various social programmes such as Anti Drug and Anti Aids Programs. He is an initiator in starting four permanent projects in Lions Club of Valsad.

  • Polio Corrective Surgery and Rehabilitation Camps.

  • Cataract Surgery with Intra Ocular Lens Implants.

  • Youth Counseling and Vocational Guidance.

He has also served on various positions in Lions Club and has received various prizes and awards for his outstanding social work.

 

Dr. Purnima.K.Nadkarni


Dr Purinma. K. Nadkanii, age 45 is a consulting Gynecologist & Obstetrician and a leading Infertility specialist. She is a Medical Director of Nadkarni's 21st Century Hospitals Pvt. Ltd., Vapi. She owns two Hospitals, one 50 bedded which was started 18 yrs back, another 40 bedded multi-facility Hospital, with latest technology was started in April 2000. Nadkarni's Assisted Conception Unit & Research Centre started in September 1995 which gives all the treatment modalities of infertility including TVS, IUI, GIFT, IVF-ET, ICSI, TESA, MESA, sperm & embryo freezing under single roof.

Qualifications

  • MBBS passed in 1978 - Graduated from Mumbai University

  • DGO passed in 1981- G.S.Medical college

  • MD passed in 1983 - K.E.M. hospital

  • FCPS passed in 1983

    Ranked first and is a Gold Medallist in MCPS, MD, DGO, FCPS exams.

Honours

  1. Stood first in Bombay in SSC exam in 1972 held by Pune Board.

  2. Was best all round student of Seth G.S. medical college, Mumbai.

  3. Was sports personality & Athletic champion in both school & college.

  4. Attended more than 25 national level conferences &. published 4 Articles in FOGSI.

  5. She has presented papers and delivered lectures as faculty in many National & State conferences.

Experience

Dr. Purnima for the last Eighteen years, has developed own practice in Killa-Pardi, a small Taluka place in South Gujarat and has established herself as a leading infertility specialist in Gujarat.

As government Laparoscopic surgeon in South Gujarat from 1984-1989, she did over 2000 Laparoscopic tubal ligations and carries a record of conducting 200 Operations in One Day in Vapi Camp.

Her Area of Specialisation includes Infertility Treatment, Irans Vaginal Sonography, Reproductive Endocrinology, Laparo-hysteroscopy, and Assisted Reproduction.

Advanced Study and Training

  • Laparoscopic Surgery in Germany, Bielefield in Sept 1994.

  •  Also Trained in IVF-ET & micromanipulation in 1995 in London, King's conception unit under Dr John Parson & Virginia Bolton.

  • ART training in TUFT'S university, Boston in May, June 1995, under Dr. Allan Penzias & Anil Dubey.

  •  ART training in Micromanipulation at Three Centres in Perth, Western
    Australian University, especially at Pivet medical Center.

Progress and Plans

  • The first IVF program and Laparoscopic centre of Valsad district was started on 3rd  October,1995, in Killa Pardi together with her husband Dr. Kishore Nadkarni, Surgeon. 

  • First test tube baby delivered as twins  son & daughter in Sept 1996. She has successfully given many twins, triplets & quadruplets by ART. 

  • Sperm and Embryo freezing was started in 1997.

  •  Many Micromanipulation - ICSI babies delivered.

  • 70 IVF / ICSI babies, about more than 300 babies to 800 childless couples in last 2yrs.

  • Promoted a new Multifacility Hospital at Vapi, named Nadkarni's 21st Century Hospitals Pvt. Ltd.

  • Conducted Two National level Workshops & Conference on ART and Eandoscopy in May 2000 & 2001 in which 300 delegates all over the country, 45 Indian Faculty and two International Faculty participated.

Other Activities

As a Lion, she has delivered lectures in different institutions, schools & colleges on Drug awareness, AIDS, Lions quest programs, medical topics like safe motherhood. Infertility, family planning, problems of women above 35 etc.


Awarded "Narishakti award" in 1997 by lions club of Vapi, Udyognagar.

Hobbies

Counseling women, swimming, and singing. Mother of Three lovely, talented children Pooja, ,Akshay, and Vaibhav. Her daughter Pooja stood 1st in entire CBSE Board of India in Science subjects, securing 98% marks and now studying MBBS, in BJ.Medical College, Ahmedabad.
